
Coastal Retreats Terms and Conditions
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The property is available from 3.00PM on the day of arrival, if you require an earlier time, then this can be requested but cannot be guaranteed.

The property is to be vacated by 10AM on departure day, again, a later time may be requested but cannot be guaranteed.

Prices are available for seven night stays, 4 night mid-week stays, long weekends and other lengths of stay may be available, please ask.

Sorry but this is a pet free property, and no pets are allowed in this property.

It is also strictly no smoking inside the property and this will result in the loss of your security bond.

We cannot accept same sex parties due to site rules at Haven.

A member of the party must be over 24 years of age.

Please leave the property as you would like to find it. Cleaning materials and vacuum cleaner are provided for use. Failure to do so may result in the loss of your security bond.

Please note that play passes for the swimming pool and entertainment facilities at Haven are not included in the prices stated, unless otherwise agreed, but these can be obtained directly from Haven on arrival.

DEPOSITS & PAYMENT
A provisional booking will be accepted, subject to receiving £100 deposit per break booked, which is part of the holiday cost. The dates requested will not be held until the deposit has been received. The deposit is by bank transfer or card payment. Upon receiving the deposit you will receive confirmation for the dates that you have now booked. Please note this deposit is non-refundable.

DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION.
If the booking is cancelled by yourselves, for any reason, then the deposit will not be refunded. If the booking needs to be cancelled by ourselves due to a technical or maintenance fault, or for any exceptional circumstances linked to the property, then the deposit will be refunded.

THE BALANCE OF THE BOOKING IS DUE EIGHT WEEKS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL. If the balance is NOT received within this time frame, then we reserve the right to hire the property to someone else. Bookings taken with less than EIGHT weeks remaining can only be accepted if payment is made in full upon booking.

Please note that a £50 refundable security bond will also be required to be paid with the balance of payment. This security bond is fully refundable at the end of the hire period and normally returned within seven days of departure date where you will be asked for your bank details to complete a bank transfer, however, we reserve the right to withhold some or the entire bond and/or bill the hirer for the additional cost of:

a) replacing and/or repairing all damage
b) all breakages
c) charge for cleaning the property or removing stains or replacing as new
d) if additional persons have been using the property during your stay, which was not previously agreed by the owners
e) any unnecessary call out charges made direct to the property from guests without contacting the owners for prior consent.
f) there has been evidence of any pets or smoking in the property.
g) the property has been used for charging an electric car.
WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT THE PROPERTY, IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, PLEASE LET US KNOW AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO THAT APPROPRIATE ACTIONS CAN BE TAKEN.
CANCELLATIONS

In the event of cancellation, the hirer must confirm this in writing. (The deposit is not refundable or transferable in the event of cancellation).

No refund will be made to the hirer whose hiring has commenced and who vacates the property for any reason including an emergency at home.

Once the balance has been paid, refunds will only be considered in exceptional circumstances at our discretion and subject to the time remaining to the holiday and a replacement booking being obtained.

Covid 19 - Although we offer a change of holiday date or full refund should the park have to close due to Covid 19 or for a national lockdown, we will not refund payments for any other reason. Deposits are non refundable as detailed in rule 5 and if full payment has been received, depending on timescale, we will endeavor to obtain a replacement booking but this may be less than the original cost of the holiday and the original deposit and difference will be kept.

You are therefore strongly advised to obtain your own travel insurance policy at the time of booking or when paying the full balance for the holiday in our property to cover this possibility. (See below).
GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS

Bookings will only be accepted from hirers who are twenty-four (24) years of age and above. No same sex groups (Family's and Couples only) are permitted at Haven as per their site rules.

Only the persons on the booking form may stay at the property, which has been agreed by the owners. Other Occupancy will not be tolerated and the hirer and associated guests will be asked to leave. The holiday cost, security bond and any other payment will not be refunded if this occurs.

All changes to a booking are allowed only by prior agreement with us and confirmed in writing.

The hirer is responsible for the conduct of all persons listed on the booking form.

The hirer agrees that all persons named on the booking form shall be with you (the hirer) during your hire period of the property. Holiday park owners and/or their staff will be informed of all persons staying in our caravan.

Each person listed on the booking form and your guest(s)/visitor(s) must be prepared to identify themselves to the park owners or their staff upon request and comply with their reasonable requirements.

The hirer shall notify us in writing with any changes to person(s) listed on the booking form at the earliest possible opportunity and in any event, prior to arrival at the holiday park.

The hirer must give access to the property as/when required by us, holiday park owners and their staff/agents.

We reserve the right to refuse any booking without any obligation to give a reason and/or reserve the right to terminate any booking for whatever reason at our absolute discretion.
UPON COMMENCEMENT OF HIRE

The property will be available from 3pm onwards on the first day of hiring (unless previously agreed).

In the case of a maintenance problem, the hirer shall contact the owner at the earliest opportunity. D.I.Y repairs must NOT be attempted. If the hirer does any D.I.Y repairs, then rule 4 will apply.

No pets are allowed.

Smoking is NOT permitted in the property.

The property is to be left in a clean and tidy condition ready for the next guests, which is inspected after use. If not, then rule 4. shall apply.

Holiday park owners, their staff or ourselves do not accept liability for any loss or damage to the hirer’s property and/or accidents, injuries, illness, diseases, arising from the hire of the property or use of the holiday park, including acts of god or extreme weather conditions. To cover for such eventualities, you are strongly recommended to ensure that your travel insurance (also detailed in Rule 8) covers you for such events. (Also Travel Insurance Below)

The property MUST be vacated by 10am on the last day of your booking, unless otherwise agreed, ready for a member of staff to visit and check the property.

No Prams/Buggies to be left open and used in the property, as this has been known to damage Doors and fittings.

Young children must be supervised at all times when on the decking as outside furniture is provided on a balcony which is elevated.
IF YOU ARE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY / HOLIDAY PARK BY THE HOLIDAY PARK OWNERS OR THEIR STAFF FOR ANY REASON, THE PROPERTY OWNERS SHALL NOT REFUND ANY MONEY PAID.
TRAVEL INSURANCE

As with any holiday, you are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED to obtain your own travel insurance to insure you against any unforeseen eventuality. Please see rule 8 and rule 23 above which you should ensure cover is included.
GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATIONS & COVID 19 REQUIREMENTS

Your personal information obtained through the booking form will be shared with Haven and Bourne Leisure to inform them that you are authorised to use the caravan for the confirmed dates, to allow you to enter the site and to purchase play passes.
​
The information will not be shared with any other party and will be disposed of after your stay once the security bond has been agreed or refunded.
​
Your personal information obtained through the booking form may be shared with the local Portuguese authorities as per their requirements for all guests who are staying in Portugal.
PLEASE NOTE
​
Once we have received your £100 deposit, you the hirer have agreed to the full terms and conditions, as above, as applicable at the time of your booking of your holiday.
​
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights under English law.
